SAILING

YEAR 1.

An activity based on the water introduction to sailing, on a professional basis, up to Level 3 in RYA / ISA syllabus.

The emphasis is on enjoyment and the thrills of a new discipline in a safety conscious environment and includes Powerboat training (ISA endorsed) and a foundation in competent crew skills.

Trainees are encouraged to get as much personal sailing as possible and often crew in local club racing in Kinsale.

YEAR 2.

This year concentrates on development of personal sailing skills up to Level 5 with a view to instructing in this sport.

Trainees are prepared for RYA / ISA Dinghy Sailing Instructors Course. This course is run as part of second year sailing schedule integrated in a modular fashion.

Power-boating skills are also further developed.
